Onigiri has another name.It is called "omusubi."
It is said that at that time, Japanese people deified mountains and ate rice shaped like a mountain (the shape of a god) to receive the power of the god; that is how "omusubi" began.
The kanji for musubi is "musubi" (to tie).
It means connecting people with nature. It means connecting people with each other.
